09-20-2021
At 7:20 a.m. officers were called to a report of an attempted burglary to an enclosed trailer. Investigation is still ongoing.
At 8:21 a.m. officers were called to an ongoing mutual conflict between two neighbors. Incident was addressed without additional enforcement action needed.
At 1:32 p.m. officers were called to Aspirus Merrill Hospital to assist staff with an unruly patient.
At 3:54 p.m. officers were called in regards to a male party violating conditions of his bond, as it pertained to contact with another party. The suspect was located and arrested for bail jumping.
At 8:16 p.m. officers were called to a residence after the tenant believed someone was breaking in. After arriving on scene, it was determined the sound the resident had heard was a piece of glass outside the residence breaking due to the storm.

At 09:50 a.m. an officer was dispatched to Sturdevant St. for a report of a theft. There was a female mannequin that was taken from a residence and had not been seen for a couple weeks.
At 3:52 p.m. officers received a driving complaint from a bus driver operating near Jackson St. and Alexander St. The report was a red sports car failed to stop for the bus’s stop arm. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle.
At 4:27 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on E. Main St. near Sturdevant St. The driver was arrested for a bond violation and three counts of bail jumping. The driver was also cited for speed and operation after revocation.
At 10:00 p.m. a local gas station employee requested that a law enforcement officer stand by while the employee closed the store. Earlier that day, the employee received a threat from a male individual because the employee would not sell cigarettes to the male party.
09-22-2021
At 3:06 p.m. a caller reported a scam attempt. He explained he owns a small business and an unknown person reached out to him requested work be done by his company in Gleason. A few days later he received a check for a large sum of money. He was able to determine the person was attempting to scam him.
At 9:49 p.m. a caller reported four teenage girls were located going through her trash can or attempting to steal the trash can. The girls left in a vehicle after she confronted them. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
09-23-2021
At 2:13 p.m. a caller reported receiving a scam phone call, and he was talked into providing his Medicare and partial social security number to the caller. He was advised to report the information to Medicare so they could watch his account for suspicious activity.
At 2:19 p.m. a female was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 3:06 p.m. a caller requested officers check the basement of his residence after he was informed someone had been located down there by another tenant. Officer checked the residence and did not locate anybody that was not supposed to be there.
09-24-2021
At 3:57 p.m. officers were dispatched to Johnson Street for a report of a burglary. The reporting party stated that someone broke into his apartment while he was picking up his child from school. Officers arrived on scene and cleared the residence. The reporting party stated that some medication was taken.
At 4:01 p.m. officers were flagged down for a report of a male party throwing stuff out of a garbage can at a residence of Jenny Ct. Officers located the male party going through the dumpster. The male party was advised that he needed permission to go through the dumpster.
At 4:49 p.m. officers were dispatched to the apartments on Jackson St. for a report of a mother and daughter fighting and it sounded physical. Officers responded to the residence and made contact with the mother and daughter. It was determined that the mother was disciplining her child. No enforcement action taken.
09-25-2021
At 9:29 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop on Memorial Dr. and 8th St. The driver was warned for their speed.
At 10:19 p.m. officers received a 911 hang-up call coming from Liberty St. Officers made contact with a male and female party and it was determined there was a verbal argument that took place. The male party left the residence to stay somewhere else for the evening.
At 11:27 p.m. there was a report of a hit and run near Hwy. 51 and County Rd. Q. The suspect was driving a red Jeep. Lincoln County Deputies and officers from the Merrill Police Department attempted to locate the hit-and-run vehicle. The vehicle was not located.
09-26-2021
At 1:54 p.m. officers were dispatched to Cedar St. for a domestic disturbance involving a male party drunk and yelling at his wife. The male party was arrested for disorderly conduct with a domestic abuse enhancer.
At 3:37 p.m. officers were dispatched to Streeter Square Park for a report of a disturbance. Officers investigated the incident and it was determined that there was an altercation involving juveniles. Officers also confiscated a knife from one of the juveniles.
At 2:10 p.m. officers received a walk-in complaint for a report of drug activity at residence near E. Main St. Officers were given consent to check the residence and nothing illegal was located.
At 6:12 p.m. officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence on N. Prospect St. Officers interviewed the parties involved. The male party was arrested for battery with a domestic abuse enhancer and for violating a restraining order.
At 10:15 p.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on S. Foster St. for a disorderly conduct complaint. Officers interviewed the parties involved and the male party was arrested for disorderly conduct with a domestic abuse enhancer.
