Fundraiser and fireworks are a great combination

The Pine River Fire Department will hold its 17th Annual Pig Roast and Open House this Saturday, Sept. 25, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with activities going on throughout the evening, and culminating with a fireworks show. Food, fun, and Fire and EMS demonstrations will educate, entertain, and satisfy the tastebuds. Activities for the kids include the Children’s Safety House and other activities, and the kids will also enjoy visits from Aspirus MedeVac and Life Link III helicopters.
There will be raffles throughout the day, culminating in a big ticket raffle with a $5,000 grand prize drawing at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase in advance or at the event.
Live music from Bernie Thompson begins at 1:00 p.m. and goes until 4:30 p.m., with music by Trigger Trippers from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
All events will be held at the Pine River Fire Station, N1622 Range Line Rd., Merrill.
Most events are weather permitting with fireworks at dark. All proceeds benefit the Pine River Fire Department and EMS.
