Linda Lou Wiederhoeft
Linda Lou Wiederhoeft began her heavenly journey on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born December 10, 1956, the youngest daughter of Raymond and Myrna (Zocher) Wiederhoeft and sister to Barb (Dale) Dahlke and Debra Wiederhoeft. Thus, she became an “Irish twin” to sister, Deb. Linda attended Trinity Lutheran School in Athens, Wisconsin and confirming her faith in May 1971. Following her graduation from Athens High School, she attended NTC and achieved degrees in parts inventory and finance. Later, Linda achieved a BS in business from Upper Iowa University. Linda retired from Church Mutual Insurance Company in June, 2021 due to her health. She loved being in service to the Lord as the Church Council Secretary for many years as well as various committees and boards within St. John’s. Linda was a charter member of the Pommerscher Verein Central Wisconsin. Some of her hobbies were: genealogy, singing with the Church Mutual Choir; computer technology, driving, reading, knitting, sewing, embroidery, watching old TV shows, remodeling, cooking, and hobby farming. Her fur babies, Lady, Buddy and KC, along with her moo-beaus (too numerous to name) were very important to her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Myrna Wiederhoeft. She is survived by her sisters, Barb (Dale) Dahlke and Debra Wiederhoeft; niece, Michelle (Jay) Mertes, Tyler and Collin; and nephew, Matthew (Jill) Dahlke, Brayden, Andrew and Sawyer; two sponsors, Violet Schmidt and Stanley Wiederhoeft, and many cousins. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (of Hamburg). Visitation will start at 9:30 am – 11:00 am with the service to follow. Committal will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Hamburg. Masking and social distancing is appreciated.
