08-16-2021
At 10:14 a.m. a caller requested assistance in removing his vehicle from property belonging to his ex’s family. The family permitted him to remove the vehicle which he reported was damaged. The officer will be conducting follow-up on the damaged vehicle.
At 11:39 a.m. a caller reported someone threw eggs at her vehicle sometime overnight.
At 4:13 p.m. a male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 5:12 p.m. a caller reported he had given money to another party to pick up a piece of lawn equipment for him. After several hours had passed, the man had not returned. The man eventually returned and had not been able to find the address where the lawn equipment was located. The caller was returned his money but was upset, as he had paid additional money for gasoline. It was explained the matter was civil in nature, as he agreed to pay for the gasoline.

At 12:44 p.m. a caller reported someone had struck her vehicle sometime in the past couple days while it was parked roadside. The striking vehicle left the scene without reporting the damage. A crash report was completed.
At 3:35 p.m. a caller reported a male, incarcerated currently, has been calling a female he is prohibited from contacting per court order. The officer was able to verify the male has called the female numerous times in the recent past. He will be charged with multiple counts of bail jumping.

At 9:23 p.m. officers responded to a domestic incident involving a male and a female party. It was determined that the male party had struck the female party in the face, then fled the scene. Officers were eventually able to make phone contact with the male suspect. Charges of domestic battery will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review and charging.

At 11:43 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. Upon making contact with the male party, it was discovered that the driver did not have insurance and had a suspended driver’s license. The driver was cited for non-registration of auto, false display of registration, operating without insurance, and operating while suspended.

At 4:49 p.m. an individual stopped at the PD to report he was the victim of an online scam. He stopped, as he was heading north for a camping trip and the scammer was continuing to call him. It was found the victim resided in Marathon County, and he was informed he would need to make a formal complaint through their agency.
At 7:48 p.m. a caller reported a verbal dispute at a residence. Upon arrival, the officer could hear two females yelling. One exited the residence and began yelling and swearing at the officer. She would not calm herself down and was arrested for disorderly conduct.
At 8:04 p.m. a caller requested a welfare check on a male outside of a restaurant, as he was reported to be under the influence of drugs. An officer made contact with the man who was clearly under the influence of drugs, and he admitted to methamphetamine use. He requested an ambulance due to shortness of breath. He reported he was from out of state and traveling with his girlfriend. They stopped in Merrill, and she left without him. He was transported to seek medical care.
At 9:42 p.m. a male was arrested for a warrant issued through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
At 11:51 p.m. a caller reported someone was trying to get into their apartment. Officers located a male in a hallway of the building, and he reported he was visiting a friend. It was explained that nobody in the building knew who he was. He provided a name that was found to be his brother’s. He then provided his real name, and it was found he had a warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was arrested for obstructing an officer and the warrant. It was found he had stolen three bottles of water from a case in the hallway but that victim did not wish for enforcement action to be taken for theft.

At 8:51 a.m. a female reported her boyfriend had locked her and their infant out of their apartment. It was found they were not locked out, but rather the door was sticking due to humidity.
At 11:02 a.m. a caller reported finding someone else’s property inside of her storage unit. The lock was not damaged. A high school diploma identified the owner of the property. Contact was made with him, and he stated he was given permission from his grandmother to use her storage unit, and she provided him a key. It was found he went to the wrong unit; however, the key provided worked for that lock. Arrangements will be made for the male to remove his property from the unit.
At 8:09 p.m. two different callers reported a vehicle had driven past them and the driver had sprayed them with the windshield washer believed to be modified to do so. A vehicle description and registration plate were provided, and an officer located the vehicle in the area and conducted a traffic stop. The driver admitted to modifying the windshield washer ports to spray people as he passed by. He claimed the reservoir contained water. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

At 6:02 p.m. a caller reported a neighbor in his apartment complex was harassing him, after she made a comment to him on the elevator. The officer was unable to determine who the neighbor was.
At 8:23 p.m. police assisted EMS with a suspected drug overdose at a hotel. The patient was revived by EMS.
At 10:55 p.m. a citizen turned in a wallet found at a store in a shopping cart. The owner had reported it missing two days prior. She will be picking up her wallet.
