The Friends of the River Bend Trail will hold their Fourth Annual Fall Festival on the River Bend Trail on Saturday, September 11, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Agra Pavilion on the River Bend Trail. The event is designed to be a free community benefit for small businesses, crafters, nice flea market vendors, and area organizations, organizers said. As such, there is no charge for admission and no charge for vendors who want to set up a table. [Vendors should call Betty Hartwig at 715.216.9744 to reserve a space. Spaces will be filled first come, first served, especially those requiring electricity.]
The Fall Festival will include music by Marc Robl and Russ Zoellner, food, a skit performed by the Merrill Community Theatre at 12:00 p.m., and a grill demonstration by Ace Hardware. Crafters, small businesses, food and coffee from First Street Coffee, and ice cream from the Grand Stand will be a draw.
September 11 will also be Merrill city-wide garage sale day, so it will be a great opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy a reprieve from their shopping and a great day for a fall festival.
This will also afford many an opportunity to view the recently placed and refurbished tower from the T.B. Scott Mansion where it sits at the Trailhead not far from the Agra Pavilion.
