Timothy P. Fisher

Timothy P. Fisher, age 49, of Merrill, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Ken Crass Memorial Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice.  Tim was born on November 28, 1971, in Landsthul, Germany, to Rodney Fisher and Ellin Frye.  Tim was a gentle soul with a soft-spoken voice.  He may have had a challenged life from one’s perspective, but he knew no other way, and had embraced life with great joy.  Tim enjoyed the simple things in life.  The highlight of his year was attending Easterseals Wisconsin Respite Camp, which was a camping and recreation venue for those with disabilities.  His common phrase leading up to it was “Yep, going to camp”.  He loved to share stories of his experiences upon his return with his family and friends.  Tim enjoyed the outdoors.  He liked going for walks, swimming, pontoon rides, wagon rides, going to the fair, and visiting farms and seeing the animals, especially the cows.  He also loved campfires and smores.  A true “foodie”, there wasn’t much he didn’t like.  He especially loved M&M’s, Peeps, McDonalds, and KFC.   Tim life was truly blessed, he hugged big, loved big, and was loved by so many who will miss him deeply.  Tim and his mom shared a passion for music.  One of his favorite songs was “This Little Light of Mine”.  We know Timothy is letting his light “shine on” in heaven and putting a smile on all those around him.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Ellin and Joe Purpora; his father, Rodney Fisher; his grandparents, Dean and Bev Fisher; his brother, Nick Fisher; his paternal aunts and uncles, Sharon Smith, Sue Fisher (Linda Hoff); his maternal aunts and uncles, Tim Frye, Jeff (Michele) Frye, Mary Frye, Joe (Jodi) Frye; and his niece and nephew, Laila and Riley Fisher.  Tim is further survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.   He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Kathryn Fisher; and his maternal grandparents, Harold Frye and Louise Meagher Frye.

Timothy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Our Way, Inc., Director, Annie Kleinschmidt, and her loving staff for their exceptional and compassionate care; Lincoln Industries for their attentiveness, friendship, and loving care; Tim’s IRIS representative, Doris Lehman, for her direction and expertise; Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice, for their caring and comforting actions in Tim’s last days; and so many others too numerous to count.   An upcoming memorial for Timothy Fisher will be held at the Ascension Episcopal Church in Merrill on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 6:30 PM.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:30 PM until the time of services at 6:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated  to the Wisconsin Easterseals Respite Camp in Tim’s memory.  Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.  View Tim’s obituary and leave online condolences at generationsfuneral.com.
