Madge Ann Gilkey July25, 1947 – Aug15, 2021. Beloved Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Great-aunt, Great-great-aunt, mother figure and friend, passed last Sunday morning. She passed peacefully after a brief battle with health issues. She was a graduate of Merrill (WI) High School with the class of 1965 and Patricia Stevens Career College near Milwaukee, WI.
Madge was preceded in death by her parents, George R. Sr and Edna Gilkey of Merrill, her sisters Barbara(William) Zackert and Nashville, TN and Judith(Gary) Peper Ullmer of Bosier City, LA and brothers-in-law Norbert Peper of Green Bay and Erling (Susan) Johnson of Morris Twsp, NJ, as well as her dogs Campbell, Bear and Kiko. She is survived by her brother George R. Jr(Jane) Gilkey of Madison, WI and sister Susan Johnson of State College, PA, 7 nieces and nephews, 12 great-nieces and nephews, 2 great-great-nieces and nephews as well and other family and friends.
She loved dogs and her Scottish heritage, even making a trek to Scotland. She was an important and wonderful part of everyone’s lives. She loved her family and friends. They loved her and will miss her deeply. Rest in Peace and Comfort.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Sepia Chapel, 3562 Finger Road, Green Bay. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Burial will be with her parents on their lot at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery, Merrill. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a diabetes or breast cancer charity of choice.
