Backpacks and school supplies needed

The Merrill Forward Together Healthy Community Initiative (MFTHCI), together with the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) Community Services and the Merrill Optimist Club, are joining forces for the 2021-2022 drive for new backpacks and school supplies.
Donations of the following new items are needed and may be dropped off at Incredible Bank (formerly River Valley Bank), Rich’s Discount, Walgreens, or Walmart. New supplies most needed are: backpacks, 1” and 1.5” binders, colored pencils, crayon boxes of 24, disinfectant wipes, chisel-tip dry erase markers, two-pocket paper folders, glue sticks, hand sanitizer, kleenex tissues, thin and wide washable markers, #2 pencils, plastic supply pencil boxes, 3”x3” post it notes, scissors, black sharpie markers, and quart or gallon Ziploc bags. Used items cannot be accepted for this project.
Distribution is set for Saturday, August 14, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Prairie River Middle School (PRMS) cafeteria by door 14. Eligible families will receive more information in the mail.
