According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, 21-year-old Nicholas E.J. Szymanski from the Tomahawk area died as the result of a one-vehicle crash in the Town of Bradley. The Lincoln County 911 Dispatch Center received a call at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021, from someone who said he had located a single vehicle in the woods on the south side of CTH CC west of Peaceful Valley Road. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was driving westbound on CTH CC and lost control of his vehicle while attempting to negotiate a curve. He was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. The actual time of the crash is not known. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating. Speed and alcohol are still considered potential contributing factors.
