NCCSP Board puts NCHC’s CEO Michael Loy on paid administrative leave

In a press release issued on June 1, North Central Health Care (NCHC) confirmed that following closed session on Thursday, May 27, the North Central Community Services Program (NCCSP) Board decided to place Michael Loy, NNCHC Chief Executive Officer, on paid administrative leave; appoint Chief Financial Officer Jill Meschke as Interim CEO; and authorize the Executive Committee of the Board to take further appropriate action based on the guidance of the full NCCSP board in closed session.
On Jan. 28 and Feb. 12, 2021, the NCCSP Board authorized a third-party review of NCHC’s practices relative to compensation and benefits received by employees. The review was conducted by von Briesen & Roper, S.C., Attorneys at Law of Milwaukee, WI. Details of the conclusive and final report are forthcoming from the NCCSP Board, however, they have not yet been received.
Michael Loy was appointed NCHC’s CEO in Oct. 2017 following his role as Interim CEO and has been employed with NCHC since June 2014. Jill Meschke has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at NCHC since March 2020.
North Central Health Care provides mental health, addiction, skilled nursing, developmental disability, warm water physical therapy, and adult protective services for North Central Wisconsin, including Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade Counties and owns and operates Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.
