Bluejay Girls Softball takes a hit from DC Everest
The Merrill Bluejay Girls Softball Team played a double header against DC Everest on Tuesday, May 18, and walked away defeated by DC Everest.
In the “home” game, DC Everest was hitting hard and playing strong, and the Bluejay Girls just couldn’t catch a break. At bat, Olivia Losee managed one hit, but in the end, the Bluejays couldn’t score a run. Courtney Krueger and Kendall Krueger did their best on the mound, but they just couldn’t hold Everest back either. The Everest Girls scored 11 runs.

The Lady Jays did slightly better in the “away” game, getting four hits and a single run while at bat. Brenna Steinagel scored the lone run for the Bluejays, while Addison Schmeltzer and Kendall Krueger worked hard to hold off the Everest girls from the pitching mound, but they just couldn’t be stopped. The Everest Girls scored another 11 runs to Merrill’s 1.
