Lonnie M. Woller

Lonnie M. Woller, 73, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2021.  Lonnie was born on January 17, 1948 to the late Elmer and Victoria (nee Hohn) Woller. He married Lorraine Graap and had a daughter, Heather, whom Lonnie cherished.   Prior to his retirement, Lonnie worked for Merrill Sand & Gravel, Operating Engineers Local 139.  Lonnie loved to be active and spent most of his time collecting and working on muscle cars, and going to swap meets and car shows.  He could always be found in his garage, this is where he was happy and content.  Lonnie especially enjoyed competing at the Merrill Ice Drags.  He started racing there at a young age and passed down his racing spirit to his daughter, Heather, and his two grandsons, Stephen and Colton.

As many people know, Lonnie had a heart of gold and would lend a hand if he could.  Lonnie had so many friends and acquaintances but three who he was very close with, Jesse Bornfleth, Kevin Pophal, and Scott ‘Spud’ Diels.  He will be greatly missed by family and friends.  Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Heather; two grandsons, Stephen and Colton, all of Merrill; brothers, Alan (Virginia) Woller of Merrill and Wayne Woller of Michigan; and sisters, Darlen Luedtke of Wausau and Sharon (Bill) Kaul of Ladysmith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Victoria Woller; and grandparents.

A celebration of Lonnie’s life will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Corning Town Hall, N1569 State Rd 64 & 107, Merrill.  Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com
