05-10-2021
5:25 p.m. an officer responded to the 700 block of E. 1st St. after a caller reported their vehicle had been entered and items were missing. This investigation is ongoing.
5:41 p.m. an officer responded to the 800 block of N. Center Ave. after a caller reported several vehicles had been entered overnight at his business and items were missing. This investigation is ongoing.
7:07 p.m. officers responded to a local hotel for a disorderly conduct complaint involving a male patron yelling loudly and acting disorderly. The male refused to answer the door for officers. Charges of disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.

12:46 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop for a stop sign violation. During contact with the driver, drug paraphernalia was observed. The driver was arrested for the paraphernalia and, prior to going to jail, methamphetamine was found on their person. The driver was taken to jail on drug-related charges.
2:57 p.m. officers responded to an establishment in the 400 block of Grand Ave. for a report of a male yelling outside that had several knives on him. Officers made contact and determined it was the same male party from a previous call at the hotel the night prior. The male was arrested for his disorderly behavior. A search of his person after the arrest revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia items. He was taken to jail on several charges.

6:43 p.m. officers responded to a residence for a report that an unknown female party had walked in to another party’s residence and was very intoxicated. The reporting party said they did not know the other party, and the other party refused to identify herself. Officers arrived and detained the unknown female. The female was eventually identified and ran through dispatch. The female was found to be on bond with a condition to not consume alcohol. The female was then arrested for two counts of felony bail jumping, one count of misdemeanor bail jumping, disorderly conduct, and resisting/obstructing an officer.

10:56 a.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic incident where it was reported that a female party had flipped a table upside down. The investigation showed that there was an argument after the female party was allegedly kicked out of the residence. The female was upset and during the argument had flipped over the table, intentionally or otherwise. There was no damage. Both parties were warned about being disorderly.

4:26 p.m. a caller reported his father’s ex-wife had entered his garage without permission and threw some items belonging to him about the driveway. The ex-wife was upset the son would not call his father at the request of the ex-wife. She was cited for disorderly conduct.
9:02 p.m. an elderly male, suffering dementia, was reported to be missing. He was located in Marathon County a couple hours later and released to his daughter.
11:55 p.m. officers located a vehicle and youths at a park in violation of juvenile curfew and park curfew. It was found several of the youths had been consuming intoxicants. They were cited for underage drinking and released to their respective parents.

12:52 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle accelerate rapidly, without headlamps illuminated, in a parking lot. The vehicle then proceeded onto the roadway still with headlamps not illuminated. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.
9:16 a.m. an officer received a text message from someone reporting a male was in the roadway, appeared to be under the influence of drugs, was yelling and pacing about. Officers located the male attempting to gain entrance to an apartment. A female, also clearly under the influence of drugs, emerged from the apartment granting the male entrance. A short time later officers were called back to the apartment after it was reported two males were arguing outside with one brandishing a crutch attempting to strike the other. Officers discovered one of the involved males was the same male they had dealt with earlier. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and probation violation. The female tenant was found to have warrants for her arrest and was arrested for a warrant from Douglas County. A search of her revealed she had a baggie containing methamphetamine in her pocket. She was arrested for the warrant, possession of methamphetamine, and bail jumping.

2:55 a.m. a female reported her boyfriend had struck her. The boyfriend had fled the residence prior to officer’s arrival but was located a short time later. The girlfriend reported the boyfriend had wrapped his arm around her neck inhibiting her breathing and had kicked her in the rib area at another point. The boyfriend denied a physical altercation stating she had tried to bite him after he had slapped a methamphetamine pipe out of her mouth. The male was arrested for domestic battery, strangulation/suffocation, and disorderly conduct.
11:15 a.m. a caller reported someone had struck her vehicle while at a parking lot and left without reporting the crash. Investigation is ongoing.
1:39 p.m. a caller reported a vehicle had driven past his residence in a reckless manner. A passenger had yelled vulgarities out of the vehicle window. This prompted the caller to follow the vehicle and call police. The other vehicle stopped to confront the following vehicle and threats were made toward the caller. The passenger who had been yelling vulgarities and threats was cited for disorderly conduct, and the driver was cited for operating without a valid license and disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle.
