Landwehr named Student of the Week
Maple Grove Charter School first grader, Maci Landwehr, has been selected Student of the Week, for the week of April 29, 2021.
Daughter of Ryan and Kim Landwehr, Maci was nominated by Ms. Etten who said, “Maci is a very hard working student that displays the CRISP traits on a daily occurrence. She puts full effort into her work and is never one to give up when pushed to further her thinking. Maci is an individual that displays great leadership and can work well with anyone in a group. When she finishes early, she is the first to offer assistance to others, if someone spills an art box, she is the first to help clean up, and if I am needing a teacher assistant for anything, I know I can count on Maci.”
“She is respectful to not only teachers, but also the peers around her,” Ms. Etten said. “Aside from being a kind and caring individual, Maci excels in academics and is constantly accepting of being challenged even further. She takes on the challenge with a positive attitude and it is clearly shown in the high quality writing, reading, and math abilities. I feel very fortunate to be Maci’s first grade teacher and look forward to seeing the milestones and accomplishments that she will achieve in life!”
Maci said her favorite subject in school is: “Math. I really like it,” she said. “I like bigger numbers that I add or subtract. I look forward to learning how to divide things.”
“I like when we do skills and EL Mod Block,” Maci said when asked about her favorite part of the school day. “We learn about birds. We are learning about their homes.”
Someday, when she grows up … “I want to be a vet. I get to work with animals,” Maci said.
