Nita A. DalSanto, 77, of Rockford, IL, passed away on March 17, 2021. She was born in Merrill, WI on April 23, 1943 to Warren and Dorothy (Rajek) Schneider. She was a lifelong Catholic and a parishioner of St. Edwards Catholic Church. Nita was an avid sewist and quilter. Nita had a passion for music, she was a member of St. Edwards and Classic Chorale choirs. Her biggest music loves were Elvis and her grandson’s band, Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy. Nita also loved travelling the globe, themed parties, theater, concerts, casino trips, fishing, bowling, NASCAR races, spending time with family and friends or any other reason to socialize. Nita LIVED!!
Nita is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Pam) Hayes, Lisa (Lawrence) Grubb, and Kelly (Ron) Adams; her grandchildren, Tyler Grubb and Sydney Grubb; her siblings, Michael (Julie) Schneider, Debby Schneider, Christine McDonald, Katie Davis, James Reeverts, David Reeverts, George Reeverts Jr., De Anna (Tim) Fidder, and Dennis Schneider, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack Dal Santo.

A Funeral Mass will take place for Nita on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 2505 School St, Rockford, IL 61101. Masks and social distancing guidelines must be followed. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Nita’s name to Catholic Charities Diocese of Rockford, P. O.
