• On Mar. 12, exactly one year after Gov. Evers declared the first public health emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Tony Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers received their second dose of the vaccine at SSM Health in Madison. They received their first doses in Feb. as members of the eligible population due to being over the age of 65.
• As of Mar. 12, Wisconsin leads the country in COVID-19 vaccine shots used in comparison to total doses received. 33 percent of residents age 65 and older are fully vaccinated. More than 20 percent of Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as a part of 1,895,000 million vaccine doses administered. 11.9 percent of Wisconsinites are fully vaccinated. As of March 11, there are now more people fully vaccinated than the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Wisconsin.
