Brzoznowski achieves rank of Eagle Scout

Jordan Brzoznowski of Troop 513 in Merrill achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on Dec. 29, 2020. Jordan’s Eagle Project was working with Tammy Duwe to complete the first phase of Tyler’s Playground near the River Bend Trail. He planned the clearing of the space for the playground and completed the teepee and table set that is now at that location.
Jordan has been involved in scouting since the first grade, when he joined Pack 503 as a Tiger Scout. In Feb. 2014, he earned his Arrow of Light Advancement and joined Boy Scouts.
While in Scouts, Jordan earned a total of 25 Merit Badges. He participated in many service projects, such as highway clean up, Scouting for Food, and helping other Scouts work on their Eagle Projects. In 2016, Jordan attended National Youth Leadership training; in that same year, he was inducted into the Order of the Arrow.
He enjoyed many activities through his scouting career, his favorites being: National Boy Scout Jamboree at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, a week long back-packing trip to Isle Royale, and a canoeing/back-packing trip in The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Outside of scouting, Jordan played four years of high school soccer and did two years of track and field. Jordan is a member of DECA, Youth Optimists, and the newly formed Raise your Voice Club.
Jordan will graduate from high school this spring and plans to attend NorthCentral Technical College for Business Management in the fall.
