Kate Goodrich Elementary 5th Grader Madeline Voigt has been selected Student of the Week for the week of Monday, Feb. 22. Daughter of Bobbi Lemmer and John Voigt, Madeline was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Sherri Schulz. “Maddi is an amazing student. She works hard, always does her best, and is very creative,” Mrs. Schulz said. “Maddi is also a kind and caring student to everyone she meets. She is a wonderful leader and role model.”
“My favorite part of school is that I like seeing everyone,” Madeline said, “Especially my friends, because I like to talk to my friends.”
“My favorite subjects in school are writing and science. I like writing fun stories that are cool,” she said. “I also like science because I like figuring out new things that can happen.”
When asked what she would like to be when she grows up and why, Madeline responded: “I would like to become a scientist, because I like to learn about new topics and how things work. I also am interested in how to cure illnesses that people have not found a cure for yet.”
