Paige Plautz bowled a record-tying 300 game on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at the age of 16 while bowling as a part of the All Star Seniors League at Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes in Merrill. She is only the second 16-year-old, male or female, to bowl a 300-game in Merrill.
Ironically, the record she tied made her also the second Plautz to do so in Merrill. The record she tied was the one set by her older sister, Piper Plautz, who bowled a 300 game at the age of 16 on Oct. 15, 2019. The girls have long since been fierce competitors in the sport of bowling, both with others and with each other.
Paige ended with a 731 series on Jan. 19.
Paige is the daughter of Heather Plautz and Beaver Plautz of Merrill.
