02-01-2021
At 1:41 p.m., a store reported a male had shoplifted a piece of merchandise from their store. An officer reviewed surveillance video and the male was identified. He was cited for retail theft.

02-02-21
At 7:37 a.m., a caller reported witnessing his neighbor stealing hamburger patties from his freezer. The female refused to speak to officers. She was cited for theft.

At 7:38 p.m., a caller reported her fifteen-year-old son had pushed her and fled the residence. An officer located the son shortly thereafter. It was found the son had punched his mom and pushed her into a window. The son also resisted officers when they attempted to detain him. The son was transported to secure detention and was referred for disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting an officer.

At 10:53 p.m., a crash was reported in the round-about. Upon making contact with the driver, she admitted she was intoxicated. She had left the roadway, striking two street signs before becoming stuck in a snow bank. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated (2nd offense).

02-03-2021
At 8:15 a.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary at a local business. It was said that the alarm system had been broken off from the door, and it is likely that the suspect remained inside the business at the time it closed the day prior. The investigation is ongoing.

02-05-21
At 3:43 p.m., a caller reported finding a male inside of a residence he owns. When officers arrived, the male was walking away from the property. Contact was made with him, and he claimed a friend of his told him he owned the property and could stay there. He did not know the name of this friend. It was further found he had damaged the door to gain entry. The male stole three cans of beer from the refrigerator. He was arrested for burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property.

At2:25 p.m., a crash was reported on S. Center Ave. A driver had stopped in traffic after observing a bobcat cross the roadway. The driver began backing up, striking the vehicle behind him. A crash report was completed and the driver was cited for unsafe backing.

02-07-21
At 9:21 a.m., a caller reported he had too much to drink the previous night and could now not locate his vehicle. He could not remember where he had left it and asked officers to keep an eye out for it. The vehicle was later located stuck in the ditch in the county. The caller recalled driving and attempting to make a Y-turn and became stuck. He was cited by deputies for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.

02-08-2021
At 9:12 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a local business where a bottle of alcohol was stolen. Officers were able to locate the vehicle involved and identify the suspects. The bottle of stolen alcohol was recovered and returned to the business. The female suspect was cited for retail theft.

02-09-2021
At 4:37 p.m., an officer responded to a report of a theft of a package. It was reported that a package was delivered to an apartment complex and that tracking information confirmed the delivery, but the package was not located by the recipient.

02-10-2021
At 3:40 p.m., a crash was reported on E. 6th St. at Poplar St. A driver failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign and was cited for that violation.

02-14-2021
At 1:41 a.m., an officer located a vehicle that was stuck in a snow bank. After speaking with the party, the officer noticed signs of impairment. The party refused to do field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated first offense.
