To the Editor:
We are a few weeks into the Biden presidency. I have seen dozens of executive orders far more than any recent president. The Keystone Pipeline was axed. With that executive order 11,000 high paying union jobs and union wages up to 2 billion dollars are gone. This is concerning when we are trying to climb out of a pandemic with job losses due to closures of our economy. Families put in disarray and businesses relying on those workers staying in their hotels, eating in restaurants, and buying products are gone. More job losses? 300 miles of the pipeline was already completed and now ordered to stop? Contracts for American made steel pipe are gone. The pipeline would transport oil from Canada to refineries in the US with net zero emissions. Now the oil will be transported via train and tractor trailers which do produce emissions and is much more costly per barrel. Biden also stopped via executive order new leases for drilling on federal land. This is concerning as there is no plan to replace the oil with something else. We are currently energy independent but now our national security will be in the hands of the Middle East oil countries. I am sure you see gas prices already increasing when it had been under $2 a gallon for a long time. If this concerns you, contact your legislators.

To the Editor:
GA’s Senator Ron Johnson said on the Senate floor a couple of weeks ago, the fact that many Americans still question the legitimacy of our last two presidential elections is a serious problem for our republic.
I am glad that Senator Johnson, as well as our Representative here in the 7th District, Congressman Tom Tiffany, are continuing to fight for election integrity in Wisconsin. We need to look ahead to our important elections in 2022 and beyond, and we need Republican leaders to continue to bring attention to these matters so that they can be rectified. Then Americans can once again feel confident in the results of our elections.
Election integrity is critical. If patriots in Congress aren’t bringing these issues to light, how can we make sure that the irregularities that happened in November never happens again?
I want to know that my vote counts. Thank you, Senator Johnson and Congressman Tiffany, for working to make that happen.
