Patrick Lee Hoock, 62, went to his heavenly home on January 23, 2021 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on October 17, 1958 to parents John and Shirley (Himelhann) Hoock in Merrill, Wisconsin. Patrick was a man with a giving and serving heart, demonstrating God’s love in every carpentry project he accomplished. After 30 dedicated years working with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Patrick retired and was looking forward to his next great adventure in life. God brought him to Guatemala and eventually he started a ministry there with his home church, which became Christ4Guatemala 501c3, that currently works in rural villages. Patrick has left a great legacy and left his touch on many throughout his lifetime, and he will truly be greatly missed. May his example inspire others to give their best every day for the benefit of others.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Jacobo Coloma; brother, Gerald Hoock; and sister, Barbara True Love. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma Hoock; mother-in-law, Paula Coloma; siblings, Joann Atkinson and husband Dan, Michael Hoock and wife Sarah, Dan Hoock, Robert Hoock and wife Edie, John Hoock; siblings-in-law, Lori Hoock, Anita Suazo and husband David, Otto Coloma and wife Tere, Nuvia Ruiz and husband Elmer, Nohemi Lopez and husband Hugo, Nora Similox and husband Vitalino, Hugo Comola and wife Ingrid, Marcia Coloma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
A memorial service to honor Patrick was held at 11:00 A.M on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Sterling Wood Church. Memorial services in Guatemala will be held at a future date.
