Salvation Army wraps up 2020 with a happy ring

This holiday season marks the 26th season of Salvation Army bell ringers in Merrill. Each year the Merrill Salvation Army holds the annual Red Kettle Campaign in November and December, with the help of the wonderful community volunteers giving their time to stand outside County Market and this year, inside of, Walmart entry way to accept donations.
Merrill Red Kettle Coordinator, Yvette Chieves, reports this year’s campaign closed out at the highest ever collected in Merrill, with a total $51,890.00 collected during the 2020 campaign. This is an amazing accomplishment for our community.
Salvation Army of Merrill greatly appreciates all the local businesses and donators that supported this campaign and made this happen. They want to remind the community that $0.86 of every $1.00 collected stays right here in Merrill.
Donations are still being accepted by mail. Donations may be mailed to Salvation Army, PO BOX 614, Merrill WI 54452.

Chips customers raised $2,641.00 for the Red Kettle Campaign without ringing a single bell. Drive-through customers “rounded up” their order totals or made donations at the pick-up window when receiving their food orders this holiday season.
