Pine Crest thanks community
TINA L. SCOTT
Pine Crest Nursing Home would like to thank the community for the outpouring of support on behalf of their residents for Christmas 2020. During a year when many people were unable to have the close contact they wished for, and especially with their loved ones in nursing homes in response to the COVID crisis, it seems people provided support in all the ways they could reach out.
Brianna VandenHeuvel, Life Enrichment Supervisor at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill, said, “We were touched at how many people thought of us by sending cards, pictures, crafts, and donations for presents.”
We reached a record high this year with donations, and all residents received wonderful gifts from Santa,” said VandenHeuvel. “We at Pine Crest cannot thank local businesses, families, and individuals enough for your overwhelming generosity this Christmas season! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our Christmas so special this year. We are blessed to be in such a kind and caring community!”
Luckily, even COVID couldn’t stop Santa (staff member Jim Korducki, physical therapist at Pine Crest) from making his annual stop at Pine Crest.
