Addilyn Mulrooney.

Addilyn Mulrooney, a third grader at Washington School, has been named the Student of the Week. Nominating teacher, Robin Hanson, said: “Addilyn brings sunshine into the classroom each day with her smile and positive attitude. She comes to school with enthusiasm to learn, participate, and grow. I can always count on Addilyn to help a peer even when not asked. Honesty, trustworthy, and compassion are characteristics she possesses in her friendships. Manners come naturally to her and she is always saying please and thank you.”
The daughter of Tim and Amber Mulrooney, Addilyn said, “Art and math are by far my favorite subjects. I love being creative. I’m good at math and I can get my facts down fast!”
Her favorite part of school?
“I like playing with my friends and having fun, seeing my teacher because she helps me learn, and I love learning new things, Addilyn said.”
When asked what she would you like to do/become someday and why, with complete confidence, Addilyn responded, “I have three things I will be when I grow up:
1. Singer-I love writing songs and someday I want to sing them!
2. Artist-I like adding a splash of color to my drawings!
3. Make-Up Artist-I know the perfect shades that work together!”
“Addilyn’s drive to succeed, perseverance, and hard work will help her to make all her dreams become a reality.” Ms. Hanson said.
