Bailey Kohnhorst

Bailey Kohnhorst, the daughter of Josh and Mandi Kohnhorst, has been named Student of the Week for Jan. 7. A first grader at Maple Grove Charter School, Bailey was nominated by Ms. Treva Etten who said, “Bailey always represents our CRISP (Craftsmanship, Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, and Perseverance) traits in her daily character. She has a positive attitude when learning new academics and experiences. Bailey is always willing to assist with any classroom tasks or jobs. She always includes others in activities, group work, etc.”
“Bailey is always kind to others and she puts 100% into her work even if it is challenging or above her comfort level,” Ms. Etten said. “Bailey makes a classroom better just by being in it.”
When asked her favorite part of school, Bailey responded, “I like Fox Time in the afternoon. We get to do crafts, reading, codeables, and play with others.”
“My favorite subject is math,” Bailey said. “I like to do addition and subtraction.”
Bailey wants to be two things when she grows up: “I would like to be a teacher and a firefighter,” she said.
“As a teacher, I get to learn and see kids learn. As a firefighter, I can save people from fires,” she explained.
