Mayor extends closure of City Hall

On Dec. 30, Merrill Mayor Derek Woellner issued a declaration extending the closure of Merrill City Hall and other City facilities. “Given that our health experts at both the federal and county level are anticipating a spike in COVID cases around January 14th and given that our county case activity currently sits at ‘very high’ according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services,” Woellner’s declaration reads, “I am declaring the extension of the closure of city hall and other facilities for at least another two weeks, until January 18, 2021, at which time the situation will be re-assessed.”
City offices are open by appointment only. Property taxes may continue to be paid via mail or the drop box outside of City Hall.
