Kenneth Lee Albers

Kenneth Lee Albers, March 4, 1954-December 18, 2020.  Ken was born March 4, 1954 in Appleton, WI, to Victor and Bernadine (Brandt) Albers. He was baptized and later confirmed his faith. Ken was grateful for the entirely Christian education he received from elementary school through his ordination from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. He served the Lord and His people in St. Paul’s (San Diego, CA) Immanuel (Eagle, NE) St. Paul’s (Chuckery, OH) Trinity (Merrill, WI) Rock of Ages (Minocqua, WI) St. Mark’s (Wausau, WI) and at other various churches. He had just reached the milestone of 40 years in pastoral ministry — all glory be to God alone.  Ken enjoyed basketball and exceled at tennis during his college years. At home he relaxed by working in the yard and collecting keepsakes from special events. Later in life, he enjoyed going to the casino, especially soaking in the hot tub. Ken loved seeing his church families and friends; he was always up for a game of sheepshead. He enjoyed fulfilling his civic duty by working at the local polls.

Ken married Angela (Luebke) Albers on May 20, 1983. God blessed them with four children. They came to Merrill, WI in July of 1991. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his sisters, Judy (Rodney) Voelker, Joyce (Michael) Philipp, his wife Angela, son Grayson (Kimberly) Albers, Kylie, Brennan and Tristan, daughter Shayla (Andrew) Gerike, Elijah, Anastasia, Cecilia, Michael and Theodore, son Brogan (Jackie) Albers, Otto, son Trendon (Abby) Albers, Rayelle, Emberlyn and Twila.

In Ken’s own words, “Only one life, will soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
