Kate Goodrich Elementary second grader Avery Clark has been selected Student of the Week, for the week of Monday, Dec.7.
Daughter of James and Amanda Clark, Avery was nominated by teacher Mrs. Karen Kleinschmidt; “Avery is a role model in our school. She is always kind and respectful in her interactions with peers and adults in our building. Avery’s positive attitude and strong desire to learn are seen every day from the moment she comes in the building, to when it’s time to go home.” Mrs. Kleinschmidt explains.
“She shows compassion and empathy to those around her and steps in to help whenever she sees a need. She is always encouraging and cheering on her classmates, applauding them when they do well and saying ‘you can do it’, when she sees someone struggling.”
According to Avery, her favorite subject in school is Math; “Because I love subtraction!”
Avery’s favorite part of school is gym class; “Because I love to move!”
Someday, Avery would like to “Be a musician for a while because I like music and then I want to be a Baker and make lots of sweet treats!”
