Merrill Police Department reports

11-23-20
At 3:25 p.m, an officer responded to a report of a woman threatening employees at Hardee’s. The women continually drove through the drive-thru yelling at employees. Contact was made with the suspect who was issued a trespass warning.

At 10:02 p.m, a report of a hit and run crash occurring at Memorial Dr. and East Main St. was received. A vehicle had struck a light pole twice prior to fleeing. Officers located the vehicle and the operator who was arrested for Operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense.
11-24-20
At 12:45 p.m, a caller reported their smoker grill was stolen from their residence sometime overnight. The investigation is ongoing.

11-27-2020
At 8:15 p.m, officers were dispatched to a disorderly conduct complaint. The caller advised there was an argument happening over a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and it was learned that the argument was over the thickness of milkshakes that were being made.
11-28-2020
At 4:10 a.m, officers were dispatched to a welfare check. A male party was possibly passed out inside a vehicle at a business. Contact was made with the driver who displayed signs of intoxication. The driver was placed through field sobriety tests and failed. He was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated, 4th offense.

At 11:39 a.m, an officer responded to a motorist assist complaint. A male party was operating a scissor lift and the battery died. The male was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The lift was towed and the male was transported to the jail.

11-29-2020
At 2:32 p.m, officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint. A male and female were having a verbal argument and the male was refusing to leave. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with parties involved. The male party had been consuming alcohol against his bond restrictions. The male was arrested for four counts of bail jumping.
