Merrill City Hall announces temporary closure

On the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 13 Merrill City Hall announced a temporary closure, effective Monday, Nov. 16.
“Our County Health Officer wants all residents to know that Lincoln County has reached a critical high level for COVID-19 Disease,” said City Administrator Dave Johnson in a press release issued Friday.
“Due to the high level of community-wide spread of COVID-19 and the need to ensure appropriate staffing levels, as well as the health and safety of employees and the public, City Hall, Street Department Offices, and Utility Offices will close to foot traffic beginning Monday November 16th. We hope to re-open on Monday December 14 if conditions allow. At this time entry to these facilities will be by appointment only. Payments may be made on-line or be left in the drop box outside of City Hall.”

We encourage the public to visit Lincoln County Health Department’s website for the most recent COVID-19 data reports and updates at https://co.lincoln.wi.us/covid19.
