LCHD offering Adult ‘Walk-In Wednesday’ Flu Shot Clinics

Haven’t received your flu shot yet? It’s not too late. Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) is offering Walk-In Wednesday Flu Shot Clinics November 4 and 11 from 9 a.m-3 p.m at the Lincoln County Health Department, N. Sales Street, Suite 101, Merrill. No appointments are necessary.
“The best way to prevent the flu is by getting your flu shot” reports Jennifer Johnson, Public Health Nurse for Lincoln County Health Department. “COVID-19 symptoms can look a lot like flu and vice versa. Masks, distance, and excellent hand washing are all important to prevention of disease spread. The flu shot is another necessary piece to protect ourselves and others.”
The cost of the Quadravalent flu shot is $40. No high dose flu vaccine is available. Traditional Medicare, Security Health Plan (Essence, Esteem and Spirit), and Railroad Retirement are accepted. LCHD is unable to bill any other Medicare Advantage Plans, private insurance (for example Humana, United Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, etc.), or Medical Assistance. Please bring your insurance card. Only cash or checks accepted. Flu vaccine is available while supplies last.
