Citizens for Decency “White ribbon against pornography” week canceled

Due to COVID-19, Citizens for Decency-Lincoln County planned fall program during “White ribbon against pornography week” will be canceled. The evening’s program entitled “The Family” would have featured Ms. Juliane Appling, CEO of Family Council and President of Family Action, Madison. Very spirited and knowledgeable as a presenter, she is a former teacher and well sought after speaker, statewide. CD will certainly try to retain her for 2021.
Citizens for Decency will however continue to conduct their white ribbon campaign which represents decency and purity. With all the isolation in many homes and some not being supervised while parents work, it has been found that the pornography viewing on the internet is on the rise. Now is the time for families to be vigilant. We encourage Merrill and other Lincoln County communities to support us through businesses, churches, organizations and individuality.
While white ribbons are free, we appreciate donations. Upon request, we will deliver ribbons. For more information and ribbons call 715-536-4126.
