Schmidt named Student of the Week

Maple Grove Charter School 5th grader Bradley Schmidt has been selected Student of the Week, for the week of Monday, October 12.
Son of Andrew and Elizabeth Schmidt, Bradley was nominated by teacher, Ms. Schultz; “Having the opportunity to be Bradley’s 4th grade teacher last year and now his 5th grade teacher this year has allowed for me to gain a unique perspective and witness first hand what a remarkable person Bradley truly is. He has matured so much in the last year which has been heartwarming, making it is a true privilege to be his teacher,” she explains.
“As fifth graders, students are looked to as the leaders and role models of the school and Bradley is proving to fill that role very well. He often chooses to lead by example, displaying much enthusiasm for his learning and stepping up to make the right choice. He has gained much confidence in his own abilities as a learner and is always willing to lend a hand going above and beyond to help his fellow peers. I am so proud of Bradley and his perseverance through his own struggles as he strives to do his best. This is a true reflection of his kind heart, good character and true integrity.”
As Bradley explains, his favorite subject in school is Math; “Because I learn more problems and the more I
know the easier it gets and will make life easier later.”
His favorite part of school is recess; “Because I get to play football. I had an interception for a touchdown.”
Someday Bradley would like to play Major League Baseball with the Brewers, as a first baseman or pitcher.
