Even though they fell short to D.C Everest last Thursday, Oct.1 the Bluejay varsity cross-country team enjoyed it’s share of solid performances at the MARC.
“We had a few runners out because of injury and quarantining, but overall, they still did well!” comments head coach Alyssa Swan.
“Our top runner for the Boys was David Golish with a time of 19:09 and a 4th place overall. Following behind him for our top boys were Kyle Stellingworth (20:26), Elliot Hanson (20:40), Levi Black (20:46), and Ian Schuetze (21:56).
“Our girls team also did fairly well with 1st and 3rd place overall runners. Elizabeth Scmidt had to fight for 1st against DCE’s top runner and finished with a time of 19:27 just beating Sara Mlodik (DCE) who finished with a time of 19:31. Following Elizabeth for Merrill was Olivia Stevenson coming in with a 3rd overall place and a time of (23:02). Following behind them for the Merrill girls were Madison Crossman (25:16), Olivia Pierce (25:16), and Annie Becker (25:20).”
