The Care for Kyle Fundraiser will be held Sat. Oct. 10 at the Merrill Eagles Club, from 3-7 p.m. A spaghetti dinner will be served-with to-go dinner available- for $10 per plate. Raffles will be on-hand as well as a 50/50 drawing and a huge bake sale!
Spaghetti dinners include choice or sauce or meat sauce, two bread sticks and choice of homemade coleslaw or salad.
Any money raised will be donated in support of Kyle Kreager of Merrill.
Kyle was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The majority of his tongue will be removed, along with multiple lymph nodes in his neck, to prevemt the spread of the cancer.
This surgery is very invasive and requires a rebuild of his tongue with other tissues, a temporary tracheotomy, and many months on a gastric tube until he can relearn to swallow. Later will come weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatments to help ensure remission. Funds will be used to pay medical bills and travel expenses to the UW-Madison Hospital for surgery and follow-ups, and other incidentals as he will be unable to work for many months.
Monetary donations may also be dropped off in Kyle Kreager’s name at Incredible Bank of Merrill, 3210 E. Main Street.
