SVDP ‘Super Sale’ set for early October

In an effort to keep the Merrill community informed of plans for our Thrift Store, we are announcing the store will be opening again, this time for a 2-day Super Sale on Friday, Oct. 2 from 9am-6pm and Saturday, Oct. 3 from 3 p.m.-4 p.m.
Since our August Super Sale, we have cleared, cleaned and restocked the floor to bring you a fresh and broad selection of the items you may be looking for. Included are a great selection of winter clothes including coats, hats and gloves as well as Halloween costumes and supplies and hunting clothing and supplies. Additionally, a new selection of plates, glassware and general kitchen ware will be on the shelves. We will also have a box and bag sale where you choose one and get everything in it, including any “treasures” you might find!

Because the store and storage areas remain well stocked, we are unable to take in additional items at this time, except for FURNITURE IN GOOD REPAIR. If you have furniture items you are unable to transport to the store, call Sue at 715-539-2666 to arrange for pickup. We hope to resume general intake at a future date.

Thank you for coming to our August sale and making it a success. Please watch the Foto News for additional details regarding the October 2nd/3rd SUPER SALE in the coming weeks.

Our goal of restructuring the store operations for a successful future remains in place and the successful August sale was a good first step in that process. Limited day, monthly sales like the August and newly scheduled October event, remain a possibility going forward. We continue to assess our options to determine the final form it will take, and we will continue to keep the community informed.

As a reminder, St. Vinny’s Outreach Office, under the direction of Sue Norenberg and located at the Menard Center , remains in full operation and is continuing to provide all services to those in need in the Merrill Community. Household and clothing items required by local residents in need, are still available from the Thrift Store inventory for those who qualify through Sue at the Outreach office. She can be reached in her office at 715-539-2666.
