Franklin Wayne “Buddy” Raasch passed away peacefully in Manteca, CA on Thursday, July 30, 2020 with his wife of 50 years, Beth, at his bedside. Wayne was born in Merrill, WI in 1938 to George and Lydia (Krueger) Raasch. In 1970, Wayne met and married Elizabeth (Daniels) Bjorklund in Merrill and blended their individual families. Wayne lived in Merrill till 1973, then moved to Corvallis, OR to attend Oregon State University where he earned his BS degree in Construction Engineering Management. He worked for several large construction companies in Oregon, Washington, and California over the years.
He is survived by his wife Beth, brother George (Frances) Raasch, children and grandchildren: Christine (John) Wroblewski, Kevin Raasch, Susan (Ronnie) Young, Jim Bjorklund, Eric (Kellie) Raasch, Stephanie (Patrick Foreman) Duncan, Robin (Steve) Zuwala, Sherry Wilber, Kelsey (Mike) Everson, Lisa Bjorklund, Caitlin Raasch, Cullen Raasch, Kyla Duncan, Katie Raasch, Cooper Raasch, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, sisters Dorothy (Harry) Dahm, Florian (Glen) Koehler and brother Donald (Lucille) Raasch.
Interment will take place at a later date at Merrill Memorial Park in Merrill, WI.
