Nathalie M. Tank, age 96, of Merrill, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Bell Tower Residence, under the care of the Bell Tower staff and Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services. Nathalie was born May 3, 1924 in Merrill, daughter of the late Herman and Beata (Genrich) Tank. Nathalie was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill; a graduate of Merrill Senior High School; and also a graduate of Valparaiso University in Indiana. She touched the lives of many female students in her career as a Physical Education teacher at Merrill Senior High School. Nathalie’s passion was animals, especially horses and dogs.
Nathalie is survived by six nieces and nephews; Kathryn Carman, Bellingham, Washington, Christopher Tank, Sammamish, Washington, Patricia Howard, Alberta, Canada, William Tank, Cave Creek, Arizona, Kenneth Tank, Menifee, California, and Cynthia Tank, Talent, Oregon; several cousins; and several close friends. Besides her parents, Nathalie is preceded in death by two brothers, William and Robert.
A Memorial Service for Nathalie M. Tank will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Matthew Bless will officiate.
