Thomas Jon Selbrede, age 70, of rural Merrill, passed away on July 14, 2020 at his home of natural causes. Tom was born February 16, 1950 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin son of the late Robert and Cleon Selbrede. He was a self-employed computer software engineer. Tom honorably served in the U.S. Army and had been stationed in both Vietnam and Indo-China. He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, his pet dogs and other animals, and his hobby farm in rural Merrill. Tom truly loved living in the Merrill area.
Tom is survived by his biological sons, Matthew (Kristina) Harter of Marshfield and their children Arabella and Everett, and Marc (Hannah) Harter of Chippewa Falls and their children Madeline, Malakai, and Ashton; and two siblings, Karla (Steven) Huston of Appleton, and Robert (Jennifer) Selbrede of California City, California.
A Memorial Service for Tom will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Veterans Memorial Section of St. Francis Cemetery, Merrill. Graveside military rites will follow and be conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill is assisting the family.
