Parker Welch and Brooklyn Kraegenbrink chosen as PRMS Musicians of the Month for May

Parker Welch is the daughter of Alan and Jackie Welch from Merrill. As an eighth grade percussionist with both the PRMS Concert Band and Jazz Band, Parker’s additional activities included district solo/ensemble, where she received a 1st rating for her parade drum solo, and performing with the Wisconsin Valley Middle Level Honors Band. “Parker’s skills on mallets, drums, and auxiliary percussion have grown exponentially throughout her years at PRMS and we cannot wait to see and hear her progress as she moves on to the High School,” said PRMS Band Staff. “She strives for her very best in everything she does musically, whether it be a single triangle hit or a full solo section, Parker performs with musicality and purpose. Parker is a warm, caring, considerate, and compassionate person and those qualities can be felt in the music she creates. Congratulations Parker on this well-earned recognition.”

Brooklyn Kraegenbrink is the daughter of John and Kelly Kraegenbrink of Merrill. Brooklyn is an alto saxophone player in both the Concert Band and the Jazz Band at PRMS and also participated in district solo/ensemble, where she received a 1st rating for her alto sax solo, and participated in the Wisconsin Valley Middle Level Honors Band. “Focused, bubbly, kind, and energetic, are words that describe Brooklyn Kraegenbrink,” said PRMS Band Staff. “Brooklyn’s maturity shows in the way she can critically self-evaluate her performances and take recommendations from her teachers where she learns and grows from them. These attributes have caused her, and will continue to cause her, to show exceptional growth despite any external setbacks. Thank you Brooklyn for your hard work, dedication, and leadership all year!”
