Free online fun offered to area churches and families
Does your church normally offer Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, or Children’s Church but because of COVID, you’ve been unable to provide these classes and activities? That is exactly what happened to us at Highland Community Church when Wisconsin went into lockdown in mid-March. We still wanted to provide children their normal children’s programming but found that videos or other teaching materials are frequently copyrighted and prohibited from being used online.
Highland’s staff set out to remedy this challenge by creating their own material, and now they want to offer it free of charge to all Merrill area churches and families! No copyright restrictions, no limitations, and the materials have been rebranded not to reflect Highland ministry, but rather a greater kingdom mindset – Kingdom Kids. The online material presented is good clean fun for elementary aged children and families and it has been specifically crafted to NOT cross Christian denominational boundaries. As Pastor Adam DeBroux, Children’s Pastor at Highland’s Merrill Campus, noted “With all the uncertainties we know how difficult it is to plan summer ministry for children. We have a heart for churches and families who are struggling to find ways to continue ministering to their children in this time and want to provide Kingdom Kids as an option to help.”
Kingdom Kids is designed to bring families together to help children stay engaged through songs, a Bible lesson, prayer time, and an activity.
