A Monday morning crash which injured two people in the Town of Schley, remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
According to information released by the Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon, May 25, the crash was reported at 10:39 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 17 and County Road C. Two Michigan residents were transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital by ambulances from Merrill and Aspirus. The driver of a second vehicle, a 61-year old resident of Sagola, Michigan was taken into custody for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The Town of Russell Fire Department and First Responders assisted at the scene.
