The time to submit your photos for the 2020 Council Grounds State Park photo contest is approaching. Photos taken between August 1, 2018 and July 31, 2020 may be entered into any of the four categories which include: plants, landscapes, people using the park and wildlife. Submissions are asked to be kept to one photo, per category per person. Three finalists will be chosen in each of the four categories by Friends of the Council Grounds members. The public will then be able to vote for their favorites from August 15th to Sept 15th. Rules may be found on Friends of Council Grounds State Park facebook page or by visiting https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/councilgrounds/pdfs/2020photocontest.pdf When the DNR reopens park offices, rules may be picked up there, at T B Scott Library or the Merrill Chamber of Commerce office, after they resume normal business hours.
