Road work which began last month on Grand Avenue and Prospect Street, is expected to continue through most of the summer, with a projected completion date of August 1.
Encompassing Grand Ave. from N. State Street to Parkway Drive, North Prospect Street from W. Main Street to Grand Ave. and eventually South Genesee Street from Stange Street to W. Main Street, the project will entail sanitary sewer, water and storm sewer replacement, as well as curb and gutter, street lighting and pavement removal and replacement.
According to City Engineer Rod Akey, the project cost totals $1,361,454.10.
Jake’s Excavating and Landscaping of Ironwood, MI will be performing the work.
