Merrill Police Department reports

April 20
At 7:53 p.m., officers responded to a residence based upon a complaint of a female that was out of control. Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that the male party who called, had attempted to choke the female and broke her phone. The male was taken into custody and booked into the Lincoln County Jail on charges of Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to property.

April 21
At 7:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a male who was throwing items and breaking glass inside a residence. As a result of an investigation, a male was arrested for domestic related disorderly conduct and was transported to the Lincoln County Jail.

April 23
At 11:11 a.m., officers responded to a battery complaint. The caller advised her juvenile child was attacked by another juvenile. After an investigation was completed, the juvenile suspect is being referred to Social Services for one charge of battery.

At 7:24 p.m., an officer responded to a hit and run complaint. The suspect vehicle had struck a sign pole at a local business causing damage. The front license plate to the vehicle was left on scene. The investigation is ongoing.

April 24
At 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a battery complaint. The caller stated that a male party approached the multi-family residence and started to argue with those outside the residence. The male party was told to leave and ran at a female party in an attempt to punch her. Another male from the residence stepped in front of the female was struck in the face. The struck male pulled out a firearm and ordered the male party off the property. The male party left on foot. The investigation of this matter is ongoing.

At 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of a male party attempting to make entrance into a residence without permission. The male party demanded to have contact with another male he believed was in the residence. The male party refused to leave the residence. The male party eventually left the residence in a vehicle and after a firearm was threatened to defend the residence. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

April 26
At 2:59 a.m., Officers responded to a business where a male subject had come into the store and attempted to buy lottery tickets. During the course of the transaction, the male subject fled from the business with the lottery tickets and other items without paying for them. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
