Hoepppner named February Youth Optimist of the Month

MHS senior Rylee Hoepppner has been selected February Youth Optimist of the month.
Rylee was nominated by Mr. Jake Schalow and Mrs. Sara Milanowski.  Mr. Schalow states, “I’ve had Rylee in class on three occasions, and she has been in my advisory since her sophomore year.  She has always had a positive, upbeat attitude for as long as I have known her.  She brings that positive attitude to every class she has been in.  Rylee goes above and beyond for her responsibilities for her classes.  She keeps a positive attitude despite facing adversity”.  Mrs. Milanowski knows Rylee from English class and states, “Rylee always comes to class with a positive attitude, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to help others.  She also supports her community through her volunteer work.  Rylee stands out and deserves to be recognized for many reasons.  She is a responsible, hard working, friendly student who cares for other people and her community.  She will carry these positive qualities into her future to benefit others not only through her activities, interactions, and in her career as a nurse”.  

School activities that Rylee has participated and lettered in include Swim Team, Cross Country, and National Honor Society.  She is also active in Track, Basketball, Student Council, Earth Club, and Junior Optimist Club.Rylee volunteers for Make A Difference Day, Special Olympics, Recycling for Earth Club, and her Church.

Following graduation, Rylee plans to attend college to become a registered nurse.  She is the daughter of Lee and Donna Hoeppner.
