PCCU joins Teddy Bear and Heart Hunt
MERRILL– Families across the Northwoods are getting into the spirit of the teddy bear and heart hunt. A scavenger hunt suited for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, people are putting stuffed animals and hearts – from the tiniest to the massive – inside windows for people to find on walks or drives around area neighborhoods.
Residents aren’t the only ones participating in the movement. Park City Credit Union has decorated its branches in Merrill, Rhinelander, Minocqua and Tomahawk with hearts and bears, too.
“This helps build a bridge between us and our communities in a time where we all are practicing social distancing,” said Park City CEO Val Mindak. “Teddy bears and hearts are reminders that we are all loved. At a time where we may feel anxious or scared, this is a reminder that we are all in this together.”
Park City also said a mystery artist visited each of the branches with several heartfelt messages written in chalk, including, “Thank you tellers. We appreciate you!”
“We are excited and thankful for the love and support our community has shown us,” Mindak added.
