Below is an up-to-date list of local closings, cancellations and reduced services, as of 5 p.m, Friday, March 20, due to precautions to stymie the spread of COVID-19 aka coronavirus:
* All Merrill Area Public Schools (MAPS) buildings are closed effective Monday morning, March 16, until April 6.
• T.B Scott Free Library closed effective Monday morning. Library administration will work with Merrill officials and the Library Board of Trustees to reassess the situation and determine when it is best to reopen. At this time, there will be no fines assessed and due dates will be extended. Patrons are asked to keep all materials at this time.
• The Merrill Enrichment Center closed effective Monday morning.
• The Merrill-Go-Round will suspend transit services beginning Thursday, March 19.
• St. Stephens United Church of Christ’s Dinner @ 5 event every Monday, is suspended until further notice.
• The Sawmill Brewing Company is closed until further notice.
• City of Merrill Park and Rec Department’s Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4 on the River Bend Trail, has been cancelled.
• The Merrill Enrichment Center’s Spring Craft and Vendor Show Scheduled for April 4, has been cancelled.
• Merrill Parks and Recreation Department’s Children’s Expo scheduled for April 4, has been postponed.
• Merrill Area Meal Ministry “Breaking Bread” meal has been cancelled for the month of March and April.
* The WJJQ Home, Sport and Travel Show with Health Expo scheduled for April 4 and April 5 has been cancelled.
* The Lincoln County Board of Supervisors Meeting for this evening, March 17, has been cancelled.
* The Merrill Foto News will close at 5 p.m. today, March 17, until further notice.
* IncredibleBank has closed their lobby but is still conducting business via drive-thru, effective Tuesday, March 17.
*In the best interests of Social Distancing, Sierra Pacific is not accepting applications at this time.
* Hugo’s Pizza is closed until further notice.
* Merrill Chamber is postponing any events through until April 10.
* mBank is open with Drive-Thru only.
* Edward Jones Offices are closed to the public until further notice.
*Merrill Community Bank is open with Drive-Thru only. In addition their Open House on March 20 has been cancelled.
*Park City Credit Union is open with Drive-Thru only. Westside Drive Thru will be open temporarily.
*BMO Harris is open with Drive-Thru only.
*Associated Bank is open with Drive-Thru only.

*The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin will be cancelling classes, home visits, in-office visits, senior dining sites until April 3rd.
*Marshfield Clinic – please call the clinic to see if you need to be seen. 715-539-0101 We are postponing certain, non-urgent appointments. We are suspending all elective ambulatory and inpatient procedures, and non-urgent ambulatory visits. We are actively calling each patient who will be impacted by this change to reschedule their appointment.
