T.B Scott Library announces temporary closure

Effective immediately,  T.B. SCOTT Free Library is closed until further notice as a preventative measure to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Based on the latest information and updates from state and local officials about the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), the library has made the decision that closing the building is in the
best interest of public safety at this time, Library staff stated as part of a press release Monday morning, March 16.
Library administration will work with Merrill officials and the Library Board of Trustees to reassess the situation and determine when it is best to reopen.
At this time, the library is encouraging patrons to use the website, https://tbscottlibrary.org, and the tools and resources available there, including eBooks and eAudiobooks, streaming video,
digital learning tools, and more.
Some core functions of the library will continue. This is a changing, fluid situation, and the library will continue to share the latest T.B. Scott Free Library updates on our social media channels
and on this page. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please continue to be safe.
Also, the Library offers a large collection of digital materials, including eBooks and eAudiobooks, which can be accessed at any time online through the Wisconsin Digital Library.
At this time, there will be no fines assessed and due dates will be extended. Patrons are asked to keep all materials at this time.

For more information, the library can be reached by phone (715-536-7191) or online at https://tbscottlibrary.org – For online resources and updates the library’s Facebook page will also contain updates and useful resources for patrons to access during this time.
